Shipping Carrier

Our preferred shipping partner is UPS, who is a founding member of the SmartWay Transport Partnership program. This program was launched in 2004 by the EPA to reduce transportation-related emissions by creating incentives to improve supply chain fuel efficiency. Their environmental commitment is important to us as we try to be mindful of the impact that shipping our goods has on both people and planet.

Shipping Schedule (non-holiday)

Our goal is to process and ship your order within 2 - 5 business days of receipt. Our default shipment method is UPS Ground. When shipping UPS Ground please allow for 5 - 7 business days for your delivery to arrive as transit time depends upon your geographic location within the continental United States. Please refer to the map here for the average nationwide transit times for UPS ground shipments.

Expedited shipping options are also available at the point of check out for orders that require a faster delivery at an additional charge. Orders selected for next-day shipping that are placed before 1pm ET will ship the same day, those placed after will ship the following day. If you select next day on a Friday, please be advised that your package will not be delivered until Monday.

Holiday and Weekend Shipping

UPS does not deliver packages on Saturday or Sunday. If you place an order over the weekend, or on an observed holiday, we will process your order on the next business day. We do not ship on the following holidays:

  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving (aka Black Friday)
  • December 25th
  • December 26th
  • December 31st

Shipping to PO Boxes or Military Addresses

Please note that we do not ship to PO Boxes or APO addresses at this time.

Shipping Internationally

Please note that we do not ship internationally at this time. If you are a Chipotle fan located outside of the continental United States and interested in product you see on the Chipotle Store we would love to hear from you. Please contact us through customer service portal.

Shipping Rates

Shipping charges vary depending on the size of your order including its weight and the Zip Code you are shipping to. Estimated shipping charges for the various shipping options we offer are available at the point of checkout to assist you in selecting your preferred shipping method.

Note: Oversized or special delivery items may be subject to an secondary delivery charge in addition to the standard UPS shipping rates quoted.

Tracking Your Shipment

Upon shipment of your order a tracking number will be emailed to you. This tracking number will allow you to check on the delivery status of your order through www.ups.com. You can also choose to receive order updates by submitting a request through our customer service portal.

Shipping Preferences

Your default shipping address can be modified from your My Account page. Multiple shipping addresses can also be stored within your account for easy reference and future order placement.

Our Warehouse and its Environmental Impact

We are constantly working to have the least environmental impact in our business and part of this is done through our development of mindful distribution. We are committed to supporting and assisting in the expansion of options for environmentally friendly and energy-efficient shipping options and this starts with our warehouse. Our packaging also plays a part as our goods are shipped in boxes and envelopes made of 100% recycled content, with the envelopes also being biodegradable. The consumer also plays a valuable role here in the shipment choices made and the impact that they have as we recommend shipping non-expedited if at all possible as ground deliveries are much more fuel-efficient than overnight. Also we encourage customers to combine orders whenever possible and reuse, repurpose or recycle the boxes their order ships in.
